60th Birthday Party-24 guest-nice restaurant without breaking the bank

Hi everyone-
I am looking for a restaurant in or around Boston that can accomodate 24 guests for around $40-$50 per person for a sit down 60th birthday party. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Sel de la Terre at the waterfront does a great job with private events...your group would *just* fit in their private room and the price would be about right (before alcohol).

Maggiano's (I know it's a chain but the food is consistent and my old school Italian friends will eat their gravy) and you have your choice of family style for either $27 or $35/person before drinks, tax and tip. I do know they have a section of the dining room off to the right of the host/hostess stand that maybe can be use as your private dining room-they used to put large parties there and not sure if they still do since management has change.

The lines out the door suggest that lots of people disagree with me, but I think the food at Maggiano's is pretty bad!

Try Masona Grill in West Roxbury. Great food and prices will not break the bank.

Not sure about the price points (with or without alcohol) but Rocca in the South End has a dining room that is large enough to accomodate you.
