Does anyone know if Alo is still closed/has plans to reopen soon or not? Their website says its closed due to fire, but it's been that way for a few months now. The restaurant is on the 75 feeder road near Henderson/Knox Ave.

I think I remember the Eats blog had a blurb about them planning to re-open some day. You might want to try searching it.

I attended a mojito class at La Duni last month and Taco Borga spoke about Alo. Apparently, they have been going back and forth with the insurance company and that's been the hold up. If I recall correctly, he said they are going to add some of the dishes and the drinks to the menu at the McKinney location in the meantime.

A very respectable version of Aji de Gaillina at Inca's, the Peruvian restaurant in Carrollton. Dave at the Observer did aan intense review in the spring of this year, just do a little Google and i am sure you can track it down.

edit: I Googled for ya...
