Holidays in Charleston

gothamlp Oct 19, 2009 01:52 PM

I'm headed to Charleston for a week during Christmas. I'll be traveling with my extended family which includes a 4 year-old and a 10 month old. It looks like there are some great restaurant reviews in Charleston that my husband and I would like to visit. Are any of the restaurants reviewed or any other restaurants delicious and family friendly?

Which ones appeal to you most? Are you looking for fine dining? Is this your first visit?

There are wonderful fine dining options in Charleston, but most are ones I wouldn't go to with young children. That said, we just ate at SNOB with my 4 year old daughter at the end of September. They were wonderful and very accommodating. I highly recommend it provided you have well behaved children!

I don't know if they're doing it this year but two years ago I went to a Teddy Bear Tea at the Charleston Place Hotel. It was very sweet and a nice way to enjoy the hotel in a family friendly setting.

I think that my husband and I may visit something more fine dining on our own but we will be with the children for most meals. This is our first visit so I have no idea of anything there.

          The Buccaneer gets good reviews.
I've never been so I can't vouch personally. Jestine's and Hominy Grill are both great places that would welcome your children. Which reviews caught your attention?
