looking for suggestions for restaurants in Pittsburgh (esp the eastern suburbs)that are kid friendly and have a good selection of draft beers and is $-$$.
A place that I like is the Gateway Grill in Monroeville. It's got a nice selection of drafts, the prices are reasonable and they seem to get a nice crowd and is family friendly.
The first place that comes to mind is D's Six Packs and Dogs - there's one in the city in Regent Square and one in Monroeville. Definitely meets your criteria!
D's Six Packs and Dogs - that it spot on.
Kazansky's in Squirrel Hill tends to have good beer, is reasonably cheap, has decent sandwiches, and I recall a co-worker mentioned their kids were happy to go there.
thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't heard of Kazansky's.
Mad Mex gets good and bad reviews on here, but they have a very nice draft selection and it's half off M-F 5-7. I go here often with friends that have a 4 year old and 5 month old.
Concur. We go to Mad Mex b/c it is kid friendly, has a good beer/margarita selection, and has some good food. D's is also a fun place with kids, particularly if there is a sporting event on.
