Raw Milk Cheese in the Hamptons: Mecox Bay

I've been hearing of an old dairy in Sagaponack that started selling raw milk cheese to stay afloat, but every time I've been out there I was too busy to stop. Today I went to Sang Lee in Peconic to get some baby bok choy and they have Mecox cheese! (Alongside Catapano goat cheese) I got a cheddar and a gruyere, and they are so delicious I'm not even waiting for the rest of the family to try before I share with you, I don't need any confirmation on the goodness. I will be seeking out the source, possibly tomorrow. In the meantime, here's some info, they ship too in case you won't be out this way (although lately it seems like everyone and his brother is!)

    1. Thanks for the heads up, looks like it's grass fed, so I'll hunt it down and start nagging folks to stock here in western Suffolk, too.

It's so good, I like the Gruyere type (Sigit) the best so far. But the tomme sounds interesting, and I'm planning on being out that way tomorrow.....the cheddar is very young and doesn't have the sharpness you might expect, but good in it's own way.
