Maria Pia in theatre district - any good?

We'll be in Manhattan for an evening show this weekend and would appreciate any feedback about Maria Pia, an Italian place on West 51 Street. Is there another spot you'd recommend instead? Thanks in advance.

  1. I think it is a great choice. Been to Vice Versa a couple of doors down and Maria Pia and we liked Maria Pia better. Pretty reasonable, too.

    1. My wife and I went to Maria Pia before seeing Jersey Boys. I print their menu from the web site and we looked at it for a couple of days and decided this is where we are going. when we went that night the menu we looked at was not the menu they gave us it was all in itlaian and the other menu which we had to ask for was the prefixed menu. Not speaking italian we had to ask our server what diffrent dishes were which wasted time. but when we did order the food was great we had a good meal and meet the people next to us because of the menu issues and the tables are on top of each other. If you can gat by that then I would say go the food is really good I would go back

      1. i went about a year ago with my mother and we both really enjoyed our meals - fresh ingredients, perfect portion sizes (they looked small, but it was just the right amount), and very reasonably priced.
