I am looking for suggestions on places that have Milk n Honey/Little Branch quality cocktails that also serve good food.

I know you can get some fun hot dogs while drinking at PDT, but I am also looking for a few other ideas.

Any thoughts for me?

Difficult combination to find sometimes.

Restaurants with serious cocktail programs would include Momofuku Ssam Bar (head bartender is ex-PDT), Allen & Delancey, Eleven Madison Park, Yerba Buena (head bartender is ex-Pegu Club), the new 'inoteca in Gramercy, Freeman's, Bar Room at the Modern, and Scarpetta.

Sadly, the problem with a lot of places is that a consultant will come in and design a decent enough menu (and then leave), but then the bartenders executing the menu can vary wildly in quality.

Earlier this year, I would have included Tailor but they haven't reopened the dining room :( so I'm a little worried about them.

Bars with great cocktail programs and food (typically small bites/plates) would include Pegu Club, Death & Co, Mayahuel, and Employees Only. Of the three, I think I like the food at Pegu Club the best (killer deviled eggs).

Try Bobo - they have a very nice cocktail list and the food is quite good.

I had a great maple old fashioned with a sprig of thyme and maple syrup just this weekend.

My first choice: Death and Co with their semi-new chef and menu. I know it's a little past it's peak, but it remains my favorite place for drinks, especially now that they have better small plates options.
Mayahuel is also nice, if you like Tequila based drinks.
Yerba Buena is supposed to be good for both, though must admit I haven't had the chance to sample yet.

First thing that popped into my head is Redhead. We had a great meal there, sitting at the bar, and some really good cocktails, too.

I'd highly recommend it, and wish I had some right now.
