Ontario-wide: low sodium Clamato?

Is anyone aware of a low-sodium, or lower-sodium Clamato / tomato clam cocktail?

The PC one is lower than the Clamato brand, but still comes in at 640mg/serving.

(Yes, I agree, sodium is delicious. I wish I wasn't looking for this product.)

Thanks!

CeeQueue, yes, my 'B' plan was to mix salt-free tomato juice and a spoon of commercial clam juice.

JennaBean, no MSG, but it does contain "yeast extract"--is that code for MSG?

My wife is quite the ceaser hound.

She prefers the no MSG 'clamato' and buys either the Loblaws no name or the store variety that is carried at Price Chopper (I bought it yesterday and think it is Compliments brand).

Anyway, I always tell her if the MSG doesnt get her, the vodka will!

Do you know if the PC one has MSG in it? I haven't drank Clamato in a while b/c of the MSG and I've love to find one that doesn't have it.

You may be out of luck, as clam juice by nature is salty since it comes from the liquid in shucked clams that lived in salt water. You might be able to make your own substitute using homemade low-sodium fish stock mixed with low-sodium tomato juice or vegetable cocktail. But my understanding is that even low-sodium tomato-based juices tend to still contain a lot of sodium. They should be called lowER sodium.
