Back in NJ and visiting some favorites. We enjoyed a feast last night at Drew's, taking advantage of a new and tweaked menu. Looked to add to the previous thread but could not find it.
We shared all the food to enjoy the varied flavors.A couple of warmed rolls got us started.
Apps were a really good Autumn salad of red and yellow beets, roasted pumpkin, toasted pumpkin seeds, mixed greens, goat cheese and finished with a maple cider viniagrette. A special of rock shrimp and spinach dip served with toasted pita points was simple and delicious. Would make a great dish for the upcoming holiday parties. Sweet potato and andouille empanada had a spicy and sweet filling and came with a spicy fruit chutney. Nice combination of sweet, savory and heat. We also shared an order of that tasty jalapeno cornbread with chipotle honey butter.

Entrees kept up with the apps. Huge seared day boat scallops with roasted pumpkin and black trumpet cous cous, white truffle oil. New preparation and a delicious blend of flavors.
I had the grilled root beer glazed prime pork chop served over maple mashed sweet potatoes and seasonal veggies. Very large chop, tender and perfectly cooked.

Desserts were rich and yummy. Keeping the Autumn theme we had pumpkin raisin bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. We also shared a dish of cappuccino ice cream with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Had a very good 2007 Toulouse Anderson Valley pinot with dinner.
It was a very busy Saturday night but service was efficient and friendly all evening. Last night was cold and dreary but we left Drew's warm, comfortable and very full :)
