Montreal Fries & Steames in Oshawa Closed?
Was hankering for an all-dressed dog today so stopped by to try Montreal Fries and Steames at 36 Simcoe St. North in Oshawa. Steames is gone, replaced by a chicken wing joint.
Got the number from 411 and gave it a call. It is still in service. My call went to a generic voicemail which said Montreal Fries and Steames was not available and nothing more.
Any locals know what the deal is? Closed? Relocated?

Wing It is right on the corner, Montreal Steames, is in the same building, right next door. It's actually on Bond St, not Simcoe. I drove past it about a month ago and it was still in business.
Try doing a Google street view of 12 Bond St W Oshawa. You'll see it right next to Wing It.

The actual location is not on Simcoe St. but around the corner on Bond St., so there is faint hope he is still there.

Sounds like I was so close but so far away. I parked north and walked down to 36 and went inside the wing place with the 36 on the door and did not give a thought to checking on the cross street. Quite probably I just missed him, which is sad for me (my stomach is still rumbling in protest at the lacklustre replacement dinner we scrounged up as an alternative), but of course great news for the rest of you.
