Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

delicious hole in the wall thai in EV

stopped by East Village Thai tonite for a quick dinner.
Tom yum soup was nice and light but sour and aromatic, chicken satae was nicely spiced with a delicious not-sweet peanut sauce, but the best was pad kee mao (chicken) -- very flavorful, with delicious basil and chili aromas, not too oily.

    1. I gave up on this place years ago as merely mediocre. Might be time to give it another try.

        1. skip the massaman, it is stoopid rich. I'd rather walk to Zabb if I'm pressed for thai in the area.
