in sf to get a vietnamese visa for one day. need a nice meal
i'm coming up from la for less than twelve hours; my morning will be spent at the vietnamese consulate securing a visa, then i'm free. looking for a lunch place and a dinner place. i'll have no car, so need any suggestions to be ped or bart friendly.
thinking about zuni, since i have not been there in years, but would love some other suggestions. budget is of concern and i'll be running around after a very early flight, so probably won't be dressed for fancy.
would be open to chinatown suggestons or vietnamese to keep with the theme.
and my other meal, california fresh would be my request.

The Vietnamese consulate is 6-8 blocks from the "Little Saigon" neighborhood, where there's a range of Vietnamese eateries from bare bones (Turtle Tower) to more upscale (Bodega Bistro).

Zuni's still great, and you don't need to dress up. There are few if any where you do in SF. If they're too busy, Cav right next door.
Lunch, consider Lers Ros (as good as Jitlada, but different) and Burmese Kitchen, about half a mile from the consulate.
