Pomodoro Restaurant Point Loma - reviews?
Just moved to Point Loma and my husband heard good reviews of Pomodoro's but I haven't heard much - has anyone been recently and have any input? We've been to Old Venice, know Roseville and the Pearl so Pomodoro's is now on my radar but it's an unknown for me. It always has a crowd....
I'd categorize Pomodoro as an updated Italo-American place. That's to say, instead of 1970's style "linguine alla clams" with garlic bread, iceberg salad with canola-based Italian dressing and bad chianti, you can swap in penne alla vodka, bruschetta, arugula salad and a glass of Montepulciano. So, 1990's Italo-American. Service is good, a no-surprises pasta menu and a pleasant location- a very good place to take the family. Just don't expect Le Tre Venezie or anything.
