Great lunch outside in SF right now

Suggestions? I have my car so want to avoid downtown. What a gorgeous day.

Next time you have car, opportunity and weather cooperates, I highly recommend Piccino in Dogpatch. Excellent pizza, outdoor seating underneath trees. If not do not have car, can take the Muni line out there and get off at 22nd Street @ 3rd.

I would have gone to Horatius, if they served Portuguese food at lunch, or Farina, if I'd found a parking space, or Zuni, if I'd had a roll of quarters for the ripoff parking meter, but I ended up at Bar Bambino. Would have been nicer if the patio weren't covered. Nice cold cuts, roasted eggplant, figs with duck prosciutto, and marinated arctic char.

I've found on a hot day the patio at Bar Bambino is just too hot. I feel like I'm in a greenhouse. Wish they could open up that roof.

Yeah, I would have been more comfortable inside. And there was such a lovely breeze, too.

        Where did you go?

For some reason Delancey Street popped into my head. I don't remember much about the food, but I do remember enjoying the patio.

Back garden at Arlequin? Buy a picnic at Bi-Rite and relax in the park?

Too bad. Belden Alley comes to mind. How about Beach chalet/Park Chalet.

Barney's Burgers on Chestnut. The Grove on Fillmore or Chestnut. Harry's Bar on Fillmore. Betelnut on Union St. Warming Hut at Chrissy Field
