Any asian markets out here in and near Lansing, Mi? Also, restaurants?

Hi all, I just moved here from California and am trying to adjust to the eatery surroundings. Does anyone know of any markets that carry more asian ingreds? I have been to the "ethnic" isle in the big "markets" like kroger, walmart, etc but selection is rather poor in my opinion. Any restaurant suggestions as well? Thanks for any help.

I may be wrong due to not looking hard enough but I think that Oriental Market is better than any of the Detroit places I have found yet (Like I admited I have not hunted that hard).

I can get lost in there for hours ,wish I had a Asian mentor to walk me down the isles to point out what I should not be missing.

      Oriental Mart
      2800 E Grand River Ave

      Hong Kong Restaurant
315 S Homer St, Lansing, MIMake sure you order the Chinese menu - Chef's special or Chinese appetizer.
Talk to your server about what you're looking for, they are very helpful.

Haven't been out Grand River for a while, but there used to be a decent Asian grocery called Oriental Mart in East Lansing on Grand River, on the right-hand side going out, in one of those big shopping centers pretty close to campus. Lansing is not a foodie town, although it has numerous other virtues (like the opportunity to live very cheaply).

Hi and welcome to Michigan! Just in time for fall and apple cider season.

If no one can steer you towards Asian in Lansing, Detroit is not that far away and we have a lot of Asian markets...plus Trader Joes!
