Best spot in Tampa/St Pete area for Stone Crab?

I know there are some festivals/parties this weekend in the bay area, does anyone recommend anything really highly? Value would of course be a plus but I'm not scared to throw down some green für die Krabbe :)

You might check with the Columbia restaurant in Ybor City. The Columbia at St. Armands Circle in Sarasota always has them on opening day, which was last Thursday. I loaded up on them at A P. Bell Fish in Cortez on Friday and ate them all weekend. Jumbos!

Jenn's wines in Carrolwood sells stone crabs for $14.99 a pound I think. She sells out fast so you have to preorder

think Frenchy's at the beach is doing a stone crab festival this weekend (Clearwater beach)

Catch 23 is going to have a special this weekend for 1/2 lb. of stone crabs at their cost plus $1.99.

We went to Catch last night and had the stone crabs. $7.50 for a 1/2 lb. There were two large, meaty claws per 1/2 lb.

I buy them at Cox Seafood on Dale Mabry and eat them at home. They own their boats so their seafood is always fresh. The stone crab they sell has not been frozen first.
