Recent experiences at Liberty Market? (Gilbert, AZ)
I have searched this board and am not really finding any recent reports on the Liberty Market. Comments seem favorable overall - but was wondering if anyone has been recently and their thoughts??
Trying to decide between giving the Liberty Market or Joe's Farm Grill a try (haven't been to either).
Had a lunch there with my IT staff today and even the grumpy guy thoroughly enjoyed it. The hip I'm-a-Mac guy is is bringing his wife back for dinner tonight. The I-don't-like-sandwiches guy devoured his Rancher. The redneck guy came close to licking his plate.
If you like egg salad, Liberty's is excellent, with big chunks of yolks along with the whites.
I went last Saturday - was visiting the area for a wedding and Liberty Market was written up in a magazine that was in the hotel room. Three of us had a superb breakfast there. I had the bacon pancakes -- that's right, pancakes with crispy bacon in the batter. They were wonderful. One of my companions had the American Standard with the grilled flattened meatball. The accompanying hash browns were top-notch.
Liberty Market doesn't seem to get a lot of buzz on this board, but it has a huge following on Twitter.
I went there for the first time about a month ago. We'd had dinner across the street at Joe's Real BBQ (under the same ownership as Liberty Market and Joe's Farm Grill) and wanted to have tea, cappuccino, etc. nearby. Because we just had beverages, I can't address the quality of the food, but it was certainly an attractively designed space with an appealing menu. The only negative I saw was a fast-casual service model (order at the counters and wait for your food to be brought to the table). I always find that a bit annoying, but it sort of depends on how efficiently the restaurant manages the process.

I've only been to Liberty Market for breakfast, but I've been twice and I live in Southern California, so that's saying a lot. Our friends live in Gilbert and they've taken us to all of "Joe's" restaurants. I highly recommend all 3. The 3rd being Joe's BBQ right across the street from Liberty Market. My recommendations are the smashed meatballs and grilled bread pudding. I don't like the flavor of traditional breakfast sausage so their meatballs are a perfect alternative. They don't serve french toast, but the bread pudding is to die for. I realize neither or these really sound like breakfast items, but trust me, they hit the spot. Also, make sure to try a vanilla latte. Order the "bowl" size with homemade vanilla syrup and whipped cream. You won't be disappointed. It's a sweet treat, but oh so good! As for Joe's Farm Grill, the Ahi Burger is fantastic and their sweet potato fries aren't bad either. Make sure to check out the bathrooms at both restaurants, too. Enjoy!
