I'm going to be making some Indian food at home.. so I need to stock up on spices, etc. I know there's that big store in Parlin off Ernston Road.. but are there any closer to where I live in Morganville.. there used to be a smaller one on Rt. 79 in Marlboro, but that's gone now. I'll probably make the trek to Parlin, as they have a really great selection.. but I was wondering if there are any nearby, anyway. :)

There is an Indian grocery on Rt 18N in East Brunswick across from the mall, but the selection is a million times better in Patel's in Parlin. I miss the one on Rt 79 also, I live in Marlboro and it was much easier for me and less busy, the people in there were wonderful and always had time to consult and recommend. There is also a new Halal store on Rt 9 N, in Old Bridge (much closer than Parlin). I have not been there yet, but I am sure they may have many of the products you are looking for. In the end, you should probably stick with Patel, they have the best selection, that's where I shop when I don't have time to go to Iselin.

Thanks, Christine. I ended up going to Patel's today. Is there one is Iselin or Edison that is even better than Patel's?
