Petite Sirloin

Moved to the PacNorWest from East Coast by way of MidWest. All the grocers are pushing Petite Sirloin. I can't find this cut in any of my books or on any charts. What is it?

Petite Sirloin in restaurant speak usually means a portion of beef or steak cut @ 10 ounces or less in serving portion if it is a New York Strip Steak....or 6-8 ounces for a Top Butt Sirloin cut of Beef, usually referred to as Top Sirloin. Top (Butt) Sirloin is the beef cut The OutBack Steakhouse uses for their signature steak.
