Dinner in Santa Rosa

Deborah Oct 14, 2009 06:42 PM

We will be dining with our daughter and son-in-law on a Friday night in early Nov. We are "chow hounds" with a good knowledge of wine. Our daughter and son-in-law are enjoying the learning process. Looking for a dining experience.....using locally grown produce, fowl, meats etc...love sharing plates....but happy to look at a tasting menu or any interesting restaurants. We are looking for a relaxed and fun dining experience. Thank-you for any recommendations.

Very enjoyable , they do some of their own meat curing and much comes from their own gardens. If short ribs or beef cheeks on current menu they are great, Casual and reasonable........for friday night I suggest a reservation.

I like Syrah in railroad square (as well as Zazu)
I've found their tasting menu to be fun.

I really like Pizzeria Rosso. Great pizzas from a woodburning oven. I think they have a short ribs dish, which was good, too. Also, some good salumi.

Willi's Wine bar might suit your needs. Probably my favorite of the Stark's restaurants. Lots of Plates to share, and wines by the glass.
