Vegetarian Tasting Menu Suggestions?
It's my birthday tomorrow, can anyone recommend a good vegetarian tasting menu? I've done Blue Hill's a few times ( which is really fantastic ), and I've done the one at Hangawi as well ( also nice, different obviously ). I'd like to keep the price at >$150 if possible. Any suggestions will do. Thank you!

I'd recommend Kajitsu, which follows Buddhist culinary traditions (shōjin ryōri) and serves high end vegetarian kaiseki. It occupies a unique niche in NYC's dining scene. Here are links to their website as well as a recent review:

If you're willing to make the trip, Blue Hill at Stone Barns is even better than the NYC location. It's definitely worth visiting at least once if you like Dan Barber's food, even if it's not tomorrow.
