I've actually never eaten Chinese food in Flushing (I know...complete travesty), but I really want to give it a try. Here's the deal--I'm not terribly adventurous, but I am hoping to expand my palate. What restaurants/dishes would you recommend for some really good authentic Chinese food for someone who has only ever eaten the American versions?

My vote would be for Hunan House, if you like seriously spicy food - but would suggest you post this on the Outer Boroughs board for maximum likelihood of responses - I only check this board once in a long while myself. Lots of discussion of Hunan House on Outer Boroughs.

what buttertart said, but go with M&T. just search outer boroughs, you'll get all kinds of hits (and very good guides too). for ease, just go to the Flushing mall with some friends and follow your eyes and nose.
