I love that salad too. I don't have a recipe, but I believe the okara main ingredient is sourced from San Jose Toful

Yup, and you will find the fresh okara at San Jose Tofu inside the barrel near the cashier that looks like mushy flour, usually still piping hot to warm. It's around $2 a pound (they just scoop it into a plastic bag, so consider bringing your own contianer).

Nijiya Market in Mountain View started carrying the SJ Tofu okara; $0.99 for a large styrofoam cup (I think it's 32 oz.), which is what prompted my inquiry into the okara salad.

My bad.... it's roughly 1 to 1.5 lbs worth for 50 cents at San Jose Tofu, although having it available at Nijiya is certainly a convenience.
