pre-concert at Palace of Fine ARts

Any suggestions for a place to eat near the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre? We (group of 6) have an 8pm jazz concert. We may be adventurous eaters, but on that night the priority is to get served and out in a timely manner.

thanks to all posters so far. Presidio Social Club and Liverpool Lil's sound good. Haven't been to Greens in years, and remembered it as a bit out of range, distance-wise. I'll look at recommendations for Chestnut St. too, though, for that night, I have a real bias for close to the POFA

I second Liverpool Lil's. Great place with comfort food, one of my favorite burgers in the area. It's a pub atmosphere.

Pres a Vi is probably the closest place. I've heard good things but haven't been personally.

You can cross Lombard and eat on Chestnut street if you don't mind a walk. Emporio Rulli is a good choice for a group that is just looking to fuel up. The food is good but won't blow you away. There might even be some more interesting specials.

How about the Presidio Social Club? I wouldn't say the service is particularly speedy but I think we were in and out of there in an hour or so. Nice atmosphere and great cocktails.
