Looking for good pho and vietnamese food in Etobicoke
I am looking for good pho and vietnamese food in Etobicoke. I loved Peach garden in Mississauga (in the Chinese plaza - Dundas, west of Dixie) but I don't have access to a car anymore. Aslo, the last time I was in the are (2 weeks ago) the Peach Garden was replaced by another Vietnamese restaurant.
I would appreciate recommendations especially ones in South Etobicoke but am willing to travel via TTC to other parts in Etobicoke.

Sounds like you're referring mostly to south Etobicoke?
If, by chance you're in the north end:
Closer to North York - there is another Pho Mi Asia at Wilson and Keele. Same owners as the one at Dixie/Dundas.
There is also a Peach Garden at Finch between Islington and Weston.
In that same plaza as Peach Garden is a Pho Dau Bo location - 2437 Finch West.
I frequent all three places. Typically the Pho Dau Bo location does more business than Peach Garden. I'd put Pho Dau Bo and Pho Mi Asia as top picks, with Peach Garden next.-----

I haven't been there yet, but there's a place called Simply Roll (or something like that) right across the street from Sherway Gardens. Has anyone tried it? If so, how was it?

Lemongrass inside the office complex there at the NE corner of Bloor/Islington (it's directly underneath the Goodlife Fitness) has some vietnamese selections that are good (Pho included) and some really good chinese food on the menu as well. For people that need it, they've also got a fairly extensive gluten-free item selection.

The best and most consistent, at least in my experience, is Pho Mi Asia, on the south side of Dundas, just west of Dixie. There are a lot of vietnamese restaurants in that area (around 11 or so along Dundas between Dixie and Hurontario, by my count), and I've tried most of them. Pho Mi Asia is the one I keep returning to. In fact, I was there today, and their house special pho was as delicious as always.

re: TOchowgal
That's the only other Vietnamese restaurant I can think of east of Dixie in South Etobicoke besides Hoaikuong, on The Queensway, which I really do not recommend. Really sub-par food.
I went into that one by Apache burger but was turned off by the modern decor, the non-vietnamese servers, the non-vietnamese customers, and the fact that they wouldn't allow me to sit in one of the more comfortable four-tops along the wall, as I was by myself. I left without ordering and haven't been back since.

re: redearth
I tried Pho Mi Asia, on the south side of Dundas, just west of Dixie yesterday. In my opinion, it was decent food at a decent price. It was quite busy at lunch time (Saturday) with mostly an Asian clientele. I have had better (tastier, fresher, higher quality) vietnamese food at places in Ottawa, but this was OK -- not outrageously. The services was a bit slow, as they were overloaded with tables and they got part of the order mixed up/wrong.

Pho Mi Asia is, IMHO, the best overall, most consistent, Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA. This is not to say that other places don't excel in other areas, perhaps with specific dishes, but I have yet to order something that didn't satisfy at Pho Mi Asia, and I've been at least 20 times, if not more.
