Chicago on Saturday for Lunch Shed Aquarium, Alder Planetarium and the Field Museum
I am going to check out these places on Saturday during the day. Where can I get lunch in this immediate area that is affordable and unique?

I have always thought the "Museum Campus" area to be void of any interesting dining but I could be mistaken. You will have a difficult (and possibly expensive) time trying to hit all 3 in one day. When we go, it's a relatively full day at just one place...with our big meal either before or afterwards and just snacks inside.

Hi yeah, I imagine that it can be a lot to see all three and I may or may not try. I will be alone, which will make it easier to move right along. I am getting one of those "go chicago cards" which makes visiting whatever I want a pretty good deal.
Is there a specific cafe or anything inside of any of these places that is better than another? Or anything close nearby for a memorable sandwich, cupcake, cookie, burger, snack or the like?

re: foodiememoirs
Relatively close by is a great Cuban restaurant. I get the Cubano when I go
Use www.hopstop.com for easy walking/public transporation directions. But this is only a couple of blocks away from the Museum Campus

While I agree that Cafecito is a great place, it's more than "a couple of blocks", closer to a mile each way. Not bad on a nice day, but be forewarned. For a nice brunch option the Bongo Room is probably a half mile from the campus (it's at Roosevelt & Wabash). Great breakfast burritos and sandwiches - amazing pancakes.

re: ferret
You are absolutely right - I was thinking about that last night. I am lifelong Chicago non-driver so what I consider easily walkable may not be that for those not used to treking along. I forgot about the Bongo Room - excellent choice. If you choose to go Cafecito, I would go either before or after the museum campus.
