Dijon apartment: Benigne le Compasseur

mangeur Oct 13, 2009 10:57 AM

We rented this apartment in the center of Dijon, 50 meters from the Place de Liberation with its circle of restaurants and cafes, 5 minutes from Les Halles, 10 minutes from a Monoprix food hall, with a fully equipped kitchen, excellent king size bed, super wet-room shower, free worldwide phonecalls, Mac computer with hi-speed internet, big screen TV, free parking at a neighborhood garage with in and out priveleges plus adorable hosts. This particular apartment has its own central patio with an amazing living wall of greenery plus outdoor sitting and eating area. Inside dining choices are a breakfast bar or dining table for four. We ate at DZ'envies, L'0, B comme Bon and also cooked up minor storms with finds from Les Halles and surrounding shops. Great wine shops in the area. Once you come to grips with Dijon's traffic patterns. it is a convenient place from which to investigate the wine route south of Dijon to Beaune.

A wonderful stay in a fabulous apartment.

Did you go to the Mustard Museum?

Regratably, no. We did, however, enjoy the Maille boutique with its miriad products, containers and extraordinary pumps.
