Both locations of Tops Burgers serve up excellent rings. I think they were originally related, but aren't any longer. Nevertheless, I've been unable to detect any differences in the food (or menu, for that matter), between the two. I go to the one on the SW corner of Allen & Walnut 'cuz it's closer to me; but there's also a branch on Colorado just east of Rosemead. Also in Pasadena is Connal's (see thread below discussing sandwiches). They have very good rings AND fries. Can't decide between the two? Get the "frings" combo, which is the best of both worlds, and a Vanilla Coke, and life is good. I've had some onion rings from the Hat that were fried in oil that hasn't been used that much. They were great. But other times the onion rings were cooked in oil that was well used and dirty.
