Need Side Dish Ideas

Next week for two of our family dinners, I'm making seafood pasta alfredo and Pacific Rim flank steak. What sides should I serve with them? thanks!

    1. For the steak I would do a snow pea and carrot salad tossed in a sesame ginger soy dressing or maybe some steamed baby bok choy. For the Alfredo.......I would do a broccoli rabe or swiss chard side dish.

        1. Steamed Lemon Broccoli w/toasted sesame seeds & Gingered rice pilaf with the Flank.

Mixed iceberg & baby romaine salad w/sliced heirloom tomatoes, basil & red onions, tossed in a light italian vinagrette and some good ciabatta or large Italian loaf garlic bread with the seafood alfredo.

            1. I don't think the pasta needs a "side dish" other than perhaps a nice salad.

I'm not familiar with that flank steak recipe specifically, but assume that it would go well with some steamed rice and perhaps a simple vegetable stir fry to keep some Asian-flavors.

                1. the seafood pasta would just be with salad, maybe bread here (we love our carbs). For the steak, I'd do green beans very quickly sauteed with garlic & lemon, along with rice.
