Good bread?

da5auto Oct 12, 2009 12:19 PM

I work at the CIA and I think I've become a bit of a bread snob (not a bad thing, by any means!) but some days I just can't bear to stand in line at APBC . Any ideas for good bread in Hyde Park/Rhinebeck/Red Hook/Kingston/Poughkeepsie? I'm not a huge Bread Alone fan.

I like the bread from the bakery in Tivoli (across the street from the post office) and the bread made in Chatham; the latter is sold at the Rhinebeck farmer's market on Sundays. As far as the Apple Pie goes, I'll stand in line as long as it takes to get their bread

if you're willing to drive to hopewell junction, mario's brick oven bread is absolutely amazing.
