Birthday Lunch in Boston

I am looking for a lunch location to take my husband for a birthday lunch in Boston on Thursday. He is a frequent chowhound user and I don't want to disappoint him. Price is not a factor. Any suggestions? I was considering Toro.

Or if you want to go more formal, there's L'Espalier.

Thank you for the suggestion. Have you been to the new location?

I have been to the new location. I never made it to the old location, so I can't really compare them, but from my perspective the new room is just fine, if perhaps a bit "generic-upscale-hotel" looking. The food and service were a lot more memorable to me than the room, but I certainly didn't feel like the space detracted from my enjoyment of the experience.

I think the back room had a beautiful ambiance with the fireplace, library walls and dim lighting. I had a romantic anniversary dinner in the back room and really enjoyed it.

Yes as mentioned, a nice room and an overall nice time.
