Goan Bebinca in philadelphia ?

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a place that makes Bebinca. I'm looking for the Goan kind but would be down with the Filipino Bibingka too. Anyone have any leads?

Well. I finally buckled down and decided to make it at home. Making the traditional 16 layers was quite the undertaking but it turned out pretty good .... Though probably not something I would attempt again any time soon.

Anyone know of an easier way to make it, I'm all ears.

Wow. Never thought I'd read this. Never had bebinca except as made by family or a friend, but if you want, I will try to dig up my grandmother's recipie. The Filipino version is very different, good, but not as rich or richly filled with cholesterol.

Have you checked out the Indian market in West Philly, on Walnut near 42nd St or so? They might have it frozen.
