Can't say enough good things about Amuse (totally reflective of the consensus on the board)! Three of us dined there last night. We shared three starters: gnocchi with brussel sprouts and goat cheese (delicious - the gnocchi were very light and fluffy), gruyere tart and short ribs (both terrific). Mains (all outstanding) were coq au vin (with a sort of Asian twist - soy sauce and shitake mushrooms in the sauce - but not in a contrived fusion-y way), roast trout with lentils and bacon, and beef ribs. Accompanied by a wonderful Kunin Syrah. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list.

Only concern was that the dining room was only about half full, although we were told that most restaurants outside of WeHo/Bev Hills were pretty empty last night because of the Golden Globes; anyway whatever the case I hope Hounds will continue to patronize this great neighborhood spot! It's a very hound-ly destination - comfy, casual, with great food and utter lack of pretention.

Since they got their wine list a few months ago, it's been pretty full the times I've been. Don't worry about them; I think they're doing fine!
