Alhamdani -- fantastic Pakistani in Lomita

After my move from Los Feliz to Redondo Beach, I've been relying on the Pakistani places in the South Bay to make up for the grievous loss of so many (relatively) nearby great ethnic Chow such as Szechuan, Armenian, etc. After checking out the Chowhound faves of Watan, Noor, and Bombay Grocery (all of which are wonderful) i've happened upon a fantastic Pakistani grocery that has some great and cheap meat dishes. It's tiny, but half of it is taken up by the kitchen. You can buy fresh halal meats there. But the real treat here is the meat dishes. The chicken biryani was impressive, a unique and hearty take on it. The Korma is also wonderful.
If you're nearby, you should check it out....

finally found an excuse to get down there.
very good- certainly better than most any westside pakistani / indian. the naan was as good as any i have ever had. the dahl was nice, i ordered bhindi masala, which was not worth the trip. now the meat- i had lamb tikka, very good, but i am waiting for my next visit to be blown away. perhaps i ordered the wrong thing as i am not a big fan of the "kabab" style (by which i mean small pieces on skewers.)
