Does anyone know where I can find Thai eggplant in the tri-state area? Thai eggplants are small, green and round. The smaller ones look like large peas and pop in your mouth when you eat them. The larger ones are about the size of a tomatillo or a small green tomato. I have had them both in a green curry but cannot find them anywhere in my area (central Jersey) so I am expanding my search.

I have seen them at Foodmart International, 175 Route 59, Spring Valley, NY.
There is another Foodmart International at 100 14th Street, Jersey City, NJ., but I've never been there.

There's a tiny greengrocer on Bayard St. between Mott and Elizabeth in Manhattan (in Chinatown) that has had them every time I've been there over the years. Unfortunately I don't shop there enough to know if they have them literally all the time, though.

I haven't seen the greengrocer on Bayard, but Asian Market on Bayard and Mulberry often has them, as does the stand on the Southeast corner of Grand and Chrystie.
