Le Coin Des Amis in Malden
Anyone been there? If not, anyone know much about Caribbean food? I'd like to try it but their menu is pretty succinct: "turkey in sauce" doesn't really tell me what I'm in for :-)

Sounds Haitian: "Friend's Corner". If so, expect big portions of slow-cooked stews (goat, chicken, beef), a big pile of brown rice, some red beans. Generally cheap and filling. A bit spicier than most other Caribbean cuisines (except Jamaican).

re: drbangha
Sorry in advance this review is so lame- We went two weekends ago and I intended to write a little review first thing in the AM, but then had to go out of town for about 10 days unexpectably, so here is my not very helpful review:
1. It was extremely clean and the service was fantastic, although we were the only customers.
2. We had a fish dish, and a pork dish. I'd tell you the names but they don't have a website (again, my fault for not writing the review the next day).
3. The fish was quite fishy (red snapper) but I thought it might have been prepared with anchovie paste or something, I could not really tell. I thought it was pretty tasty, but my wife was telling me the fish was bad. I still say it tasted fine, and I certainly did not get sick.
4. The pork was ok. It seemed a little dry and the sauces were just kind of boring.
If somebody who knows more about this than I do could give this a whirl and see what the thoughts are it would be much appreciated. Fuloon and Habesha, in the same neighborhood, were in similiar positions within the last two years, but my even my uninformed sense is this place may not be in the same league.
