Anyone try it yet? They just opened I think and I have a coupon.

  1. I have my answer. Went over there and they are not open yet. Doh!

    1. Where is Towamencin shopping center?

      1. no idea where Towamencin (new to PA!), but if it's anything like the La Tolteca and La Tonalteca's all over Delaware, it's fantastic! Nothing fancy, just good food, great prices, pretty tasty margaritas. It's a chain in delaware, I just checked the website and didn't see anything about a location in Towamencin, but I don't think they have all of their locations listed for some reason.

Well, it looks like this place is open! I was driving by and the place was full, with people waiting outside. Can't wait to try it!

I can't wait to hear what someone thinks! We had a Los Toltecos in Northern VA that we LOVED - wish it was the same small chain. :)

I've eaten at a bunch of the Delaware Toltecas. Mostly Tex-Mex, but with some authentic stuff as well (like Mole Poblano and Carnitas.) Prices are excellent, and though it may not please the taqueria crowd, it'll make you forget all about Taco Bell pretty quickly <g>.

I suppose that if you are only trying to beat the standard of Taco Bell, Tolteca is a step up, but I find the food seriously lame by any normal standard. I used to work down the street from the Tolteca on 202 in Wilmington and was dragged there for lunch by co-workers for years, until I just couldn't take it anymore. The menu is basically a list of 40-50 items that are all various combinations and permutations of ground beef, shredded cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, chopped supermarket tomatoes, Sysco refried beans, and corn chips in various incarnations. (Yes, let's add shredded chicken in there also, and shredded beef if you really want to be adventurous.) You can get these ingredients in different shapes, piled in different layers, and so on.

If this is the sort of thing you like, then you will like it. It is not Mexican food.

            3. Can someone provide the location for this? Is it in Ralph's Corner? Or the Shopping center that has the Genuardi's in it? Thanks!

Genardis. There was a pizza place in that building before. Anyone remember good old Ralph's?

DIdi it replace the pizza place at the end of the shopping center? I think it was called Marconis? I venture over there infrequently-mostly to shop at the Company Store for dance clothing and shoes for my daughter

Naw it was a stand alone building in the middle of the parking lot. How many pizza places does this area need? Hope this new place rocks.

It is a stand alone, and use to be a Donato's Pizza. Haven't tried it yet, but drove by last night and looked like alot of cars in the parking lot.

                      Has anyone been yet?

Donatos was a McDonald's concept. Did they all close?

The 2 that were in my area, Towamencin and Royersford both closed around the same time
