For those who love Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches...like the kind you find at Portillo's in Chicago...is there a good place on the Strip for such sandwiches? Or Philly Cheesesteak standwiches?

There is no where on the Strip that I know of to get a Chicago-style Italian Beef. I am from Chicago and live in Vegas. I know all the places in Vegas to go for Chicago style food and I don't think there is any on the Strip but there are places off the Strip if you really want it.

Philly Steak on the other hand I have no idea if it is available on the Strip but there is a very authentic Philly Steak place here in Vegas.

Not that this will help you (I will keep my eyes peeled here for any positives about Philly Cheesesteaks as it is one of my favorites after a long hard night) but there did used to be a place right where they built the Venetian. Oh the memories!

Neither one are on the strip, but Pops has a good philly cheesesteak and Chicago Hot Dogs has a good italian beef. Both are off the strip (Pops is on decatur and CHD is on N Rancho). If there is a Capriotti's, they have a fair cheesesteak--they are all over Vegas

There's a Capriotti's just off the strip (walking distance) on W. Sahara. Cheesesteaks are fine, but I'm no expert. I do like their meatball sandwiches.
