Favorite take-out pies in San Diego?

I'm looking for a great pie to take to a potluck. Not Marie's, not Coco's...something irresistible!

+3 to that. Heads above the rest.

But there's nothing wrong with a good Julian Pie Co. classic apple as long as it's as fresh as can be- therefore, not one of the ones from the supermarket. Unlike many of their Julian competitors, they use butter in their crusts, not shortening.

Thanks for the rec's. Three consecutive votes for Elizabethan must mean that's the place..and cherry lattice is what I want! Also, good to know Julian Pies uses butter...

call Elizabethan Desserts in Encinitas. They make mini-pies for their sale case but they do custom orders as well and can probably whip up a full sized pie.
