Restaurants: RFC

I know I have missed the boat, but in the restaurant section I would have liked to see two additional fields:

1) A map (bing or google map reference)
2) A google street map view.

I realise (2) is only available in a few cities, but it IS coming.

    1. Are you not seeing the google maps that are on the restaurant pages?

        1. re: Jacquilynne

My apologies. When I look at chow pages I usually have a 'board listing' on one side of my screen. This I shrink down so the RHS of my window is under the O of Video in the menu bar. When I open a thread I use RHMB 'open link in new window' which opens the same size window in IE, Chrome and Firefox. This show me all the details of the restaurant - or so I thought. The map has been neatly excised. In defense I will say that in the rest of chow.com - or at least the bits I use - there is no relevant info to the topic in hand on the RHS of the screen.

I would still like to open that map in another window / tab and there is no way to do that. That is a very minor grievance so strike (1) from the list.

However (2) is still alive. I would be happy if there was just a generalised 'links' section. I guess we could abuse the 'Reviews'' section as follows:

          http://tripadvisor.com/somepage.html
          Google Street View: http://maps.google.com/very-long-link.
