Late Night Marina District
My friend is getting married in San Francisco this weekend and we are flying up from LA after work. I am staying at Hotel Del Sol in the marina district. I won't be able to get there until 10:30 and most of my friends will have already eaten. Is there a place close by that we could get something good and quick? I am open to all types of cuisine except for mexican ... My girlfriend is not a fan. I am not really concerned about price. Thanks in advance for your help.
I've lived in the Marina for longer than I'd like to admin. Brazen Head is just 2 or so blocks from your hotel, and it's open late. It's an old school place... it feels like an old train car inside, and always has a good buzz about it. The food is decent, American, and the bar is usually crowded.

Honestly Brazen Head's claim to fame is only that it's open. The food has always dissappointed me. Not really the best example of Mediterranean food from the 60's - 70's. BUT they are popular.

reports of tipsy pig are mixed, but most of the negatives seem focused on the noise and obnoxious marina crowd, not the food

Thanks for everybody's input. I actually went to Brazen Head 5 years ago and loved it. They will be getting my business again. Thanks again.

I just got back from a great weekend in San Fran. We went to Brazen Head on Friday night and had a great time. I got the chicken Marsala, my buddy got the NY strip pepper steak, and my girlfriend got the shrimp scampi. The chicken Marsala was one of the best I have ever had and my buddy's pepper steak was awesome and tasted just like I remembered it. My girlfriends shrimp scampi was good, but did not come close to the other two dishes. We also started off with their escargot and that was really good. Also, the groom randomly took us to The Tipsy Pig for breakfast on Saturday morning. I had their breakfast sandwich ... Instead of a fried egg, they used a frittata ... Really good. Thanks again for all of your recommendations, I really appreciated it.
