Walking distance restaurant from Espace Geordie (Berri corner Duluth)

I will be attending an event at Espace Geordie on Tuesday night and we would like to grab dinner before. I am not extremely familiar with the restaurants in the area, and we are definiteley looking for a place no more than 10 minutes walking distance from Espace Geordie. The only one I can think of (that I know) is Chez Doval.
What other ones should we consider?
Anything Italian, Portugueuse, Greek, Quebecois, etc. (except Indian and Ethiopian), the budget beeing between $15-30 pp for the whole meal (no alcohol). Thank you.

  1. That area of town is sort of a haven for good food, being within a block of Au Pied du Cochon, La Colombe, etc. but that'll unfortunately be difficult for $15-30 per person :) Regardless, you'll definitely find something that'll please you.

I like Il Trullo at 4135 St. Denis, a fairly small BYOW with good, straightforward Italian food. Another relatively inexpensive BYOW is L'Acadamie at St. Denis and Duluth - the food is pretty standard though. Not sure if you were looking for prices not including alcohol, or were disinterested in alcohol altogether, so I mentioned that just in case.

For French bistro fare, l'Express at 3929 St. Denis would be a good bet as well - great place just to get some frites and eat some marrow with decent bread and free cornichons. If you're looking for something more 'Quebecois', La Fabrique is Laurent Godbout's newest, probably pushing closer to the $30 a head and would be a bit more of a walk (3609 St. Denis), but it's definitely worth checking out.

    1. For hearty Afghan fare, Khyber Pass is at 506 rue Duluth, very close to Geordie and I'm pretty sure it's within your budget from what I recall.

      1. If home-style Korean tempts, there's Miga (432 Rachel East, 514 842-4901‎).

        1. There are tons of reasonably priced Italian restaurants on Duluth, near St-Denis(Eduardo's comes to mind). Not the greatest food, but doable on your budget. Some may be BYOB.
