Place to eat near Baruch

We're going to see the Buddha Play at Baruch (25 St. & Lex.) next Friday night with two friends, and we're looking for a place to eat before the play. Unfortunately, one friend has a delicate stomach, and Indian food does not agree with her. So nothing very spicy would be good. And my other friend is a vegetarian. Either ethnic food (Chinese, Italian, Mediterranean) or American would be fine. We don't want to spend a lot-- about $25 p.p. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Bamiyan, on the corner of 3rd & 26th, serves tasty Afghani cuisine (not spicy) The menu works for both carnivores and vegetarians. Prices fit your budget.

Thanks for the suggestion-- it sounds very good to me. I will definitely suggest it to the rest of my group.

Just wanted to thank you again for recommending Bamiyan, and reassuring us that it's not too spicy. We did eat there, and all four of us enjoyed it. The food was nice and flavorful withut being hot.
