Seeking out the best lobster roll
My boyfriend and I live in NY but want to drive up the coast in search of the best lobster roll. I know some places are seasonal and we're too late for those places but we still want to go this month or next. Are there any suggestions for lobster rolls up the coast from NY through Cape Cod and Boston up to Maine)?
Thanks!

There was just a recent thread on the best lobster roll in Boston and the first two names mentioned were Neptune Oyster and B&G oyster. I've had the one at B&G and I personally wasn't that impressed (especially for $27) but the Neptune lobster roll can either be done cold with mayo or hot buttered mmmmmmm. Another name that comes up a lot is Kelly's Roastbeef in Revere and I just recently had an awesome twin lobster roll for lunch at ArtBar (of all places) in the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge.

re: Faim
Better still, go to the Sea Basket on Rt. 1 about a mile before you hit Wiscasset center. I think they are open year round, too.

Red Eats, Wiscasset, Maine: has been written up in most of the gourmet food magazines. Red Eats serves grilled hot dog rolls with tons of fresh lobster with warm butter drizzled on top. On Cape Cod in either Mashpee or Hyannis, people rave about the Raw Bar lobster roll though I have never had the pleasure. In Boston's North End, Neptune Oyster's lobster roll is very popular. You may also want to post your question on the New England board.
