Yankee game, good food, downtown?

A friend and I are looking for a place with TVs to watch the Yankee game tonight … type of food doesn’t matter but we want someplace relatively quiet where we can also talk easily (i.e. no blaring music.) Sitting at a table – as opposed to the bar – preferred. We’d like to stay below 25th Street, give or take, but east/west side doesn’t matter.

For some reason I’m drawing a complete blank on this.

Puck Fair, on Lafayette just south of Houston.

Unless Puck Fair has changed since I was there last about 6 months ago, it's one of the loudest bars in the known universe. Is it quieter now? Have they gotten rid of the stupid DJ?

There's Blue Seats on the LES, which might be a little TOO sporty, but you can get a table and your own tv.

Might like the Blind Pig. It's a bar so it's really just bar food but everything I've eaten there is good. They'll probably have the sound for the game which is nice; I wouldn't walk in after the game starts and expect a table though.

      14th btw 2nd and 3rd.
