Good Cheap Restaurant in the West Village for Dinner Tonight
Fedora Restaurant on West 4th Street (walking distance to No. 1 train) is a piece of village history that was featured a while back on Eater's "Who Goes There?" column. I was surprised that the restaurant I frequented as a starving college student was still alive and kicking.
The cuisine is not "gourmet" but it's very nicely prepared, simple classics. The crowd is a hoot -- village denizens displaying all degrees of eccentricity.
