Looking for cool hotel lunch spots with, of course, good food. Is this a tall order on South Beach? I've received great recs for dinner at the W hotel, but what about for lunch? Where's a good spot? I'd like to make a reservation for this Saturday. Thank you in advance!

There are not many places with that great of a view that I can think of.... the best would probably be the Mondrian which has a good view, and its a fun place to sit outside... or you could try BLT Steak and sit on Ocean Drive. Smith and Wollensky has a good view, its not in a hotel though.

Hey there--I ended up going to Solea for lunch--it was to celebrate a friend's engagement so i wanted to try some place that had a good ambiance and from this board i knew they had good food. ambiance (we sat outside) was ok--no view of the ocean. food was good though and they surprised us with a delicious dessert.

I've not been but DiLido Beach Club in the Ritz Carlton might fit the bill. Oddly, finding restaurants with a view in South Beach is perversely difficult. Even the places on Ocean Drive generally have the restaurants in the ground floor where the view is primarily of the street.

I second the DiLido Beach Club. Hands down. Great food, fabulous (and rare, sadly) ocean views. I could sit there all day and have!
