the recipe I use is contains mayo, dill, garlic powder and onion powder. it's yummy with salmon.

You can also go 1/2 mayo, 1/2 Tofutti Sour Cream (or more) if you're shooting for more of a tzatziki.

Are you trying to make a creamy,dairy-style dill sauce, or a sauce that contains dill? What are you planning to serve it with? You can always make a pesto-like sauce, replacing the basil with dill or a dill-parsley combo. While I've never done this with dill, I've had luck with other soft herbs like parsley, mint, and tarragon. It's obviously purer and more intense than a sauce whose primary ingredient is yogurt or sour cream, which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you're planning to use it for.

Mix dill with mayonaisse, lemon juice and a bit of dijon mustard.

A bit of cucumber can sweeten it and be quite nice, as well.
