Great find in a strip mall
Last night my husband and I had the pleasure of eating at Athens Grill. This place is a diamond n the rough. I purchased a $25.00 coupon on Restaurant ,com and I am so glad that I did. The place is small (9 tables) but big on taste.
It was Tuesday night and we though we would be the only patrons there, NO there were 5 tables occupied ( not bad 5 out of 9).
The waitress started us out with complimentary appt. There was cucumbers, tomatoes, greek olives, grape leaves and feta chesse in a light dressing. There was no way that two people could eat it all, she asked if we wanted to take the rest home, ( Nice touch but we declined.)
I ordered the rack of lamb which came with piping hot orzo, grulled veggies and 6 chops. My husband had the orzo platter, It came with a choice of shrimp, lamb , pork or chicken, you have a choice of two meats. He picked the pork and chicken both of which were cooked perfrectly.
For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse cake, which came with a side of taramisu. Each desset was worth the calories.
I will be buying more coupons for this restaurant and enjoying my dining experience at Athens Grill many times over.

We've been going to Athens grill for years.....it's very good.....it's in Stella towne plaza in Toms River RT9.....same plaza as El Familiar . Il Giardinello, & Oil House Cafe`also.
