    1. Someone is likely to recommend Blimpyburger to you. They do serve a good burger. But woe betide those who enter without knowing what they're doing. Here is the proper procedure.

      1) Select drink from cooler, grab tray, and enter line.
      2) You may be asked "Anything from the fryer?" Even if you are merely glared at, you should first place your order only for fryer items--fries, fried broccoli, delicious fried cauliflower.
      3) Then, approaching the grill, you order the burger (double, triple, quad, or the awe-inspiring quint), cheese if desired, any GRILLED toppings desired (onions, mushrooms, egg), and type of bun.
      4) Lastly, when your burger comes off the grill, you request cold toppings like ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, onion. Pay cash at register.

If you do not follow this procedure, you may not get an attitude from the counter worker. On the other hand, you may get a severe one.

        1. I'm just going to throw out some of my favorites:

-Heidelberg Rathskellar for beer and sausage and cheese platter. Get a beer in a boot!
-Cafe Habana - mojitos and skewered shrimp, arroz con pollo
-PIzza Bob's - divey university-student place for chipatis and shakes
-Everyday wines in Kerrytown to get some very high end to-go food from A Knife's Work
          -Logan - upscale eclectic American
-Bell's Diner - Korean joint masquerading as a diner. Excellent chapchae and tak bokum
-Red Hot Lovers - newly reopened for chicago dogs and waffle cut fries
-Knights - steak done right, in a smoky setting
-Prickly Pear - funky southwestern with big portions
-Jerusalem Garden - definitely try the falafel with hummus, babaganoush and the lentil soup

Feeling adventurous? Head over to Ypsi for burgers at Sidetrack bar and fried chicken at Haabs

            1. re: charlesbois

Good picks ... two notes: 1) Red Hot Lovers is now called Ray's Red Hots, and 2) the new "gourmet" sliders at Sidetrack are great, especially the one with blue cheese.
